   Your guide will then lead you to the base of Michelangelo’s Dome, the tallest structure in Rome. After a short elevator ride and a brief climb, you’ll reach the interior dome gallery, where you can enjoy a breathtaking aerial view of the Basilica below. From here, continue your ascent of 281 steps to the very top of the Dome, where panoramic views of St. Peter’s Square and the city of Rome await.

   St. Peter's Basilica

   After descending from the Dome, you will rejoin your guide and enter St. Peter’s Basilica, named after the first Pope and regarded as one of the most important churches in the Christian world.

   St. Peter's Square

   The experience concludes with a visit to the Papal Tombs beneath the Basilica. This solemn and sacred site is the burial place of many popes throughout history and is traditionally believed to be the resting place of St. Peter himself, located directly beneath Bernini’s Baldacchino.
