From its discovery in Kazakhstan around the year 1000 to its current status as an icon of the Netherlands. You will find out all about the tulip and learn in an interactive way about the cycle of bulb cultivation using state-of-the-art machinery and old objects (from before 1950). After the museum, the Experience continues outside and you will step into a beautiful palette of colours. In the show garden, 1 million tulips are planted in 700 different varieties of tulips. Over 7 million bulbs will bloom this spring, with a total of 800 varieties of tulips. A unique, unforgettable experience! After the flower gardens you will visit the great Dutch windmills and a local cheese and clogs factory incl. a real farm with cows and see how the milking robot milk the cows. Discover the great Dutch Windmills and make some nice pictures of it. There are 7 windmills left at the Zaanse Schans and a few are open to visit. You can visit the paint windmill (that is where Rembrandt the great Dutch artist purchased his paint), a saw mill, a spice mill and many more. Admission to the windmill park and parking costs are included in this tour.
