   Cesky Krumlov State Castle

   The Castle of Cesky Krumlov is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and is renowned for its unique architecture, spectacular views, and its rich history. Built in the 13th century, the castle is the second-largest in the country and is situated on the banks of the Vltava River. It is a stunning example of Renaissance architecture, with its distinctive arcaded windows, majestic towers and steeply sloping terraces. The castle was originally owned by the nobility, and as such, is home to a number of important historical artifacts, such as the Schwarzenberg Palace and the Rosenberg Palace. Visitors can explore the many rooms and corridors of the castle, as well as the many sculptures and decorations in the main courtyard. The castle is also home to an impressive Baroque Theater, which is open to the public and hosts various cultural events throughout the year.

   In the winter season, we visit Hluboka nad Vltavou, a small town in the South Bohemia region of the Czech Republic, not far from Cesky Krumlov. It is most famously known for its breathtaking castle, the Hluboka Castle, which was built by the Schwarzenberg family in the 13th century. The castle is one of the most beautiful in the country, and has been lovingly restored, keeping its original Baroque and Renaissance architecture.

   The castle grounds are now a popular tourist destination, offering a range of activities such as walks through the gardens, horse-riding, and even boating on the river. The museum inside the castle is also worth a visit, and houses many artefacts, as well as an impressive library.
