There is no better way to enjoy an afternoon of your trip than to visit the Zaanse Schans windmills, an area that was the economic engine of the country between the 16th and 18th centuries, as the Dutch took advantage of the force of the wind to grind the spices they brought from their colonies, make oils, mustards, paper, cocoa... Our specialist guides will explain its curious operation and accompany you to a clog workshop where they will show us live how traditional Dutch footwear is made. We will also visit a cheese shop where we can taste a wide variety of Dutch cheeses and explain the process of making the famous Gouda cheeses.
