Versailles: • The Versailles palace plays a truly unique role in the world’s history. It contains the Palace of the Sun King, a pure example of classical French architecture of the XVIIth century, and also the two charming castles: Trianon castle and the Hameau of the Queen Marie-Antoinette, with multiple parks and picturesque gardens. • If you have a half-day and if this is your first time in France, we recommend you this visit with or without a guide, to the Palace of Versailles and its gardens. We also offer guided visits to the castle of Trianon or to the hidden places of the Versailles palace. • The guide will present you the history of the castle and its famous residents. Then, you will hear about the places constructed specially for Louis XIV, the Sun Kung: the Hall of Mirrors, The Great Apartments of the King and the Queen, the royal chambers... • After your visit to the castle, the guide will show you the majestic parterres and the groves designed by the landscape architect Le Notre, the inventor of the French garden style. Giverny: • 1-hour drive to Giverny along with an introduction to Monet’s life and work • Stop at the local church and the village graveyard with the Monet’s tomb • Stop at the former café Baudy, American impressionists residence, including barn used as  winter studio for artists and temporary exhibitions at Museum of Impressionism • Visit the WATER GARDEN that Monet created 10 years after settling in Giverny, Famous Japanese bridge covered with the famous nympheas • Arrive at the FLOWER GARDEN (called Le Clos Normand) full of perspectives, symmetries and colors.  Visit to MONET’S HOUSE (BLUE ROOM, FAMILY LIVING ROOM, MONET’S BEDROOM, ALICE’S BEDROOM, DINING ROOM and KITCHEN) • Visit Monet’s last STUDIO that houses now a gift shop • Return back to Paris along the picturesque Route des Crêtes with a stop in the village of Vétheuil.
