Florence is known everywhere and one of the best known places in the city is definitely the Ponte Vecchio with its goldsmith shops. Located a stone's throw from Piazza della Signoria, it is one of the favorite destinations for tourists visiting the city and also for Florentines who never forget to take a look at the jewelers' windows. Looking around you can find shops with handkerchiefs and shirts embroidered by hand with great skill. A few more steps and here you will enter Loggia del Porcellino with a few stalls crammed all over the place that display, among other goods, leather bags and classic wooden trays with geometric designs that can be found only in Tuscany.
