Guests are invited onto the Main Altar, entering a part of St. Patrick’s that few ever experience firsthand. From this privileged position, guests turn back toward Fifth Avenue for a spectacular view of the Cathedral's great Rose Window—seen from the sanctuary and framed by the soaring Gothic interior. Then the tour goes completely behind the scenes. From the sanctuary, guests descend into the private areas beneath the Main Altar, exploring spaces normally closed to the public and discovering another side of the Cathedral entirely.
