Run a half marathon or 10k over the Thames bridges on a self-guided audio tour, triggered by your GPS. We challenge you to run with us over 17 of the Thames bridges (11 on the 10k route) in a unique self-guided audio tour that takes you from Tower Bridge to Putney or Vauxhall.​ With 17 or 11 bridges in total, your GPS location will trigger directions, along with audio commentary that celebrates the history of the glorious River Thames, its bridges and the development of our capital along its banks. As you cross over every bridge possible along the route, you'll enjoy some of the best views of London, discover their history and get a unique training run in the bag. Sign up today and take on the challenge at any time between now and 31st October 2024 with an optional finisher medal upon completion.

    • If you aren't confident of running the distance in one go, feel free to split the tour up!

      1. London Bridge

        You will run over London Bridge and learn about the surrounding area.

        The run begins in Tower Bridge, where you will see the famous bridge as well as the Tower of London.

      3. Shakespeare’s Globe

        We will run past Shakespeare's Globe theatre and learn about the surrounding area. 10 minutes travel time.

        We will run past Big Ben as we cross over Westminster Bridge. 20 minutes travel time

      5. Houses of Parliament & Big Ben

        The famous Houses of Parliament will be fully visible on the other side of the river, as you run across the South Bank. 20 minutes travel time.

        On the run, we will explore the new Battersea Power Station development.

      Run the Thames Bridges begins next to the Sundial immediately outside Tower Hill station. Once you exit the station, climb the steps in front of you. When you are standing near to the sundial, you will be able to begin your run.

      • Your tour ends immediately outside Putney Station, on Putney High Street.

      • One per booking
      • In order to complete the half marathon or 10k, you will need to download the Voicemap app onto your device, select the route and input a code. This code, as well as all the other instructions that will need to take part, will be emailed by 6am on your selected date. If you are having any problems or don't believe that you have received your code, please email hello@secretlondonruns. Once you have your code, you can use it at any time for the duration of your stay. You do not need to run your chosen distance in one go - if you prefer, you can split it up and run the distance over multiple days.
