The artworks of the Louvre guard their secrets, so you need a guide to reveal something of their mystery. I’m an Irish artist & specialist decorator. I’m also now, for the past 10 years, a Paris Museum Guide.
The Louvre was once a Fortress, a Palace and was even squatted by artists at one time, now it's one of the world's greatest museums. As a professional guide my mission is to offer people insights into how to look at art, to learn how to appreciate it. As an artist, I know the craft of making art, how to draw & paint. With this knowledge I can bring an artwork to life, expand on its historical context, explain its uniqueness, sharing my knowledge on how to appreciate the style & techniques of an artist. Talking about art with humour and insight is what you get. I think I know how to transmit this passion for art to other people.
