Once you meet up with your guide and the rest of the group in Selcuk, we will head straight to the House of Virgin Mary. Tucked away on a quiet mountain, this is a beautiful, peaceful spot where Mary is believed to have spent her final days. You can walk through the small stone chapel, light a candle, or leave a message on the famous wishing wall. It is a very calm and spiritual place to start the day before we dive into the busy ancient streets of Ephesus. Your guide will share the local stories and the history of how this hidden gem was discovered.

After breakfast, you’ll leave Kusadasi and travel by road toward Pamukkale. The drive offers a look at the changing landscapes of western Turkey as you head inland toward one of the country’s most unique natural sites.

Upon arrival in Pamukkale, the tour begins with a visit to the ancient city of Hierapolis. With your guide, you’ll explore key parts of the site, including the Roman baths, the ancient theater, the necropolis, the main streets, and several temples and public buildings.

As you walk through the ruins, your guide explains how Hierapolis developed around its thermal waters and why it became an important center for healing and daily life in Roman times.
