   Vaux-le-Vicomte was built for Nicolas Fouquet, Minister of Finance, of King Louis XIV. Fouquet united the most talented French architect, artist, and gardener of his day in order to create the most splendid castle and gardens in France. This dream team consisted of the renowned architect: Louis Le Vau, the artist and interior designer: Charles Le Brun, and the the father of the French garden: André Le Nôtre. Vaux-le-Vicomte is so lovely that the TV series Versailles if filmed there!

Your driver-guide will arrive with a grey minibus about 15min before the scheduled departure time of the tour.   Please be there at least 15 min before the official departure time! Tours always start sharp at the appointed starting time. For this tour it is absolutely necessary that you arrive before the tour starts as there is no way of catching up with the group once the tour has started. Cancellation policy and additional info    Tours run Rain or Shine! Full refunds are given if the reservation is cancelled more than 24hrs before the scheduled departure time of the tour.  No refunds are given for any reasons once 24hrs prior to the scheduled departure time of the tour.    The Fontainebleau & Vaux-Le-Vicomte Day Trip will finish around 7PM (depending on traffic) at the same location where it started 6 Avenue de Wagram in Paris.
