   Doge's Palace

   Next, you will bypass all the lines as you visit the Doge’s Palace, the residence of the supreme authority in the town during the era of the Venetian Republic. Here, you will visit the Giants’ Staircases, the Chamber of the Great Council and the Golden staircase, as well as its loggias and the “bocche di leone” (“lions’ mouths”), or jails. Then there is the Armoury, numerous beautiful halls, the New Prisons, and of course the Bridge of Sights, connecting the rooms were Venetian prisoners were interrogated.
