Vous comprendrez les événements de la Révolution française et l'évolution du bâtiment à l'époque moderne. Aujourd'hui, il est toujours utilisé pour les réunions du Parlement français et pour les réceptions des chefs d'État étrangers. Au cours de la visite vous découvrirez le concept de cet édifice, fruit de l'imagination d'un seul homme : le roi Louis XIV. Il conçut ce projet à 20 ans, et lorsqu'il mourut à 78 ans, il n'était toujours pas réalisé. Un projet d'une vie avec un résultat monumental qui ne connaît aucune comparaison dans le monde entier.
