   Walking along Carrer de la Fruita and Carrer de Marlet, you will find remnants of old Jewish houses, shops and public baths. You will also see the site of the ancient Sinagoga Major, built in the 3rd or 4th century.

   The tour will pass Plaça de Sant Jaume and the landmark Cathedral of Barcelona, and end in the courtyard of Plaça del Rei, where 12 people were burnt because of the repression of the Spanish Inquisition. You will also learn about the increasing threat that they faced from the order of the Spanish Inquisition, and how they were blamed for the spread of the Black Death in the 14th century and forced to convert en masse to Christianity or move out of the city.
