The Galata Bridge is one of Istanbul's most iconic structures, connecting the old city (Eminönü) with the modern part (Karaköy). Dolmabahçe Palace - A Brief History
Dolmabahçe Palace was built between 1843 and 1856 by Sultan Abdülmecid I. It replaced the old Topkapi Palace as the main residence of the Ottoman sultans. The palace blends European and Ottoman architectural styles. It was also where Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of modern Turkey, spent his final days and passed away in 1938. Today, it's a museum open to the public and a symbol of the late Ottoman era’s elegance.
