   Roman Forum

   Explore the Roman Forum, the political, religious and ceremonial heart of ancient Rome. Your guide will lead you through the ruins of temples, basilicas, monuments and public spaces that shaped Roman history. The route may also include views over the Forum from the Palatine/Farnese Gardens area, depending on timing, access and the best flow for the tour.

• Public transportation options are available nearby
• Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
• Colosseum tickets are nominative and non-transferable. All participants must provide their first and last names exactly as shown on the original ID they will bring on the day of the tour.
• Accepted IDs: passport, driver’s licence, or official national ID card.
• Photocopies and digital versions are not accepted. If you forget your ID, or if the name on your ticket does not match your ID, Colosseum staff will not allow you to enter.
• Dangerous items are not permitted. Security is similar to airport security.
• Bags must be no larger than 30 x 40 x 15 cm. There are no storage facilities at the Colosseum.
• You may bring a water bottle. Free water fountains are available nearby.
• There is no dress code, but comfortable shoes are strongly recommended due to uneven ancient paving and stairs.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult
• This tour involves 3 hours of walking on uneven ancient paving, with some steps and slopes. Comfortable shoes are strongly recommended. Travelers should be able to walk and stand for the duration of the tour.
• Mobile or paper ticket accepted
• One per booking
• Please meet your guide at the meeting point. Your Viator voucher is your booking confirmation, not your Colosseum entrance ticket. Your guide will provide or manage the official nominative Colosseum tickets for entry. All participants must bring original ID matching the names provided at booking.
