   Pena National Palace

   Once we meet up in Lisbon, we’ll head out to Sintra — one of those places that feels straight out of a fairytale. Our first stop is the beautiful Pena Park. It's not just a park; it's a whole green wonderland filled with hidden paths, exotic trees, and plants from all over the world. Then, we make our way up to the top of the mountain to visit the colorful Pena Palace. Trust me, it’s like stepping into a storybook, it's a colorful, crazy mix of styles that somehow just works. The views alone are worth the trip! We'll even meet the Triton — a wild-looking sculpture guarding one of the entrances, full of mythological vibes and inspired by old Portuguese styles. Inside the palace, we’ll wander through the royal rooms — including where the king and queen used to sleep. The level of detail in the decoration is something else, It’s all charming, quirky, and just a little over-the-top! You’ll get a real feel for what royal life was like back in the day.

2. 2

   Sintra

   After exploring the palace, we head down to Sintra’s old town — cobbled streets, cute shops, and that sweet smell in the air? That’s heaven calling. Time to try one of our famous pastries: the fluffy Travesseiro (literally means “pillow” — and yep, it’s as soft and dreamy as it sounds), or the traditional Queijada, a little cheesy, a little cinnamony, and totally addictive. Everyone have strong opinions on which is better — I say… try both. ( pastry cost not included)

   Next, we’re off to the edge of Europe — literally. Cabo da Roca is the westernmost point of the continent, where the cliffs drop straight into the Atlantic. The wind here has no rest, but the views? Unreal!

   It’s dramatic, wild, and full of ocean energy. Don’t forget to snap that “end of the world” photo — it’s a must.

   On the way to lunch at a local restaurant, we’ll pass Praia do Guincho — a wide, open beach known for its strong winds and waves. It’s a favorite spot for surfers and always feels a bit wild and free. Even just driving by, it’s a nice glimpse of a true Atlantic beach.

   On our way back, we’ll pass through the lovely town of Cascais — once the summer playground of Portuguese royals, now a breezy mix of beach vibes and elegant charm. You’ll catch glimpses of its stylish villas, palm-lined streets, and the sparkling marina. It’s the kind of place that makes you go, “Hmm… I could totally live here.” Just a little taste is enough to fall in love.
