   Set within the walls of a medieval fortified village, this 11th-century winery carries a legacy of four generations dedicated to crafting wine, olive oil, and vinegar. The winemaking process unfolds in former castles, basements, deconsecrated churches, and other historic buildings throughout the village, connected by a unique network of underground “vinoducts.” You’ll enjoy a wine tasting in the wine room inside the former castle, followed by a gourmet lunch in a regal setting that beautifully preserves timeless traditions.

   A cornerstone of the modern Chianti Classico revival, this castle was once owned by a prominent family during the Holy Roman Empire. Though destroyed at one point, the castle rose from its ruins, and new dwellings were built, allowing the vineyards surrounding this medieval hamlet to produce valuable wines. As early as the 18th century, Grand Duke Peter Leopold of Tuscany praised these wines, noting the exceptional quality of the vines around the Castle. The winery is renowned for its world-awarded wines, blending long-standing traditions with modern practices.

   Your visit will take you through the estate, the vinification plant, aging cellars, and the charming village, complete with its villas, ancient chapels, and gardens. The historic ambiance is complemented by contemporary art collections scattered throughout the property. The tour concludes with a private wine tasting in the winery's Enoteca
