   Next, you will bypass all the lines as you visit the Doge’s Palace, the residence of the supreme authority in the town during the era of the Venetian Republic. Here, you will visit the Giants’ Staircases, the Chamber of the Great Council and the Golden staircase, as well as its loggias and the “bocche di leone” (“lions’ mouths”), or jails.
