Commissioned by Mehmed II in the 15th century, the fortress stands at the narrowest point of the Bosphorus and played a key role in the conquest of Constantinople. Please note that the fortress is closed on Wednesdays during this time, the visit will be replaced with free time to explore the charming Bebek neighborhood.
