The Cathedral of Saint Mary Major , often called Lisbon Cathedral or simply the Sé (Sé de Lisboa), is a Roman Catholic cathedral located in Lisbon, Portugal. The theater was built in the 1st century, during the reign of the Roman Emperor Augustus. It was rebuilt during the reign of Emperor Nero, and during the reign of Constantine, it was partially dismantled. Abandoned in the 4th century, it remained buried until 1798, the year in which the ruins were discovered after the 1755 earthquake.
