Although Rembrandt was not Jewish, he became an important figure in the Jewish world, and his painting ‘The Jewish Bride’ was especially praised by Vincent van Gogh. You will pass by the Portugal Synagogue and head to the public square dedicated to Rembrandt to finally see the artist’s monument.

   The museum shows the artist’s living and working quarters, offering an insight into his daily life and studio practice. The collection includes Rembrandt’s personal items, etchings and 17th century art, and the temporary exhibitions host works of art by Rembrandt, his contemporaries and his (contemporary) followers. It’s the best place to learn more about this excellent artist!
