      When your visit is over, follow your guide just outside for a look at the Arch of Constantine and the Roman Forum, the empire's central square and hub of political, religious, and social activity. See the 1st-century Arch of Titus, the House of the Vestal Virgins, the Temple of Saturn, the Senate House, and the white marble Arch of Septimius Severus. Then via the Sacred Way, arrive at Capitoline Hill and the Vittoriano, one of the most beautiful monuments of modern Italy.Next, continue your tour to the Trevi Fountain, seen in several films, including Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. To follow legend, throw a coin in the fountain and make a wish that someday you’ll return to Rome. Head to the Government District, where you’ll see the Parliament Building, the Palace of the Council of Ministers, and the Column of Marcus Aurelius. The historic Temple of Hadrian is nearby; Emperor Antoninus Pius built the grand edifice in honor of his predecessor. Then follow a narrow avenue to see the Pantheon, where Raphael, the Renaissance architect and painter, lies entombed. Continue on to Piazza Navona by way of the Ancient Baths of Nero, and admire the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini.

Meet your guide at the entrance to the Vatican museums.  On this private tour, you will travel at your own pace, plus you can stop in some of the small rooms of the museum since you won't be with a large group. Start with a visit to the Belvedere Courtyard, the Pio-Clementino Museum, and the large collection of Ancient Roman and Greek statues.

      Then, continue to the Galleries of Tapistries and Geographic Maps, the grandest and most significant display of Renaissance maps. Stop in the Sobiesky Room to learn about the largest canvas painting in the Vatican. See the Immaculate Conception Room's frescoes.  Your guide will focus your attention on the rooms painted by Raphael for Pope Julius II, considered the greatest works of his life, especially the Parnassus and the School of Athens.  Hear the history, facts, and curiosities of the Sistine Chapel during your visit there. View the famous frescoes made by Michelangelo, Botticelli and other famous artists. The Sistine Chapel is also the location of the conclave, the Popes' election, so you will learn details about this unique event. Continue your tour at Saint Peter's Basilica, home to Michelangelo's Pietà, Bernini Baldacchino, and numerous monuments of Popes and Saints. End your tour in Saint Peter's square to see the Swiss Guards and the Pope's Palace.

    • Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
    • Public transportation options are available nearby
    • Specialized infant seats are available
    • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
    • A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
    • Please provide the full names of all travelers when booking. Failure to present a voucher with all travelers' full names at the ticket office prior to entry may result in denied entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.

    • Food and drinks are not allowed in the museums except for bottled water
    • Each traveler must present a valid passport or ID document that matches the name provided at the time of booking for successful entry to the Colosseum and Roman Forum.
    • The Basilica is not included in this tour due to the Jubilee new access rules. You can visit the Basilica by going to Saint Peter's Square and queueing there.
