   The Early Rooms

   Start in the Uffizi's oldest rooms, where medieval paintings with luminous gold backgrounds introduce the beginnings of Florentine painting. See how artists gradually developed perspective, anatomy, and the use of light, creating the foundations of the Renaissance. Botticelli and the Renaissance Admire Botticelli's Birth of Venus and Primavera, exploring the myths, symbols, and figures within these iconic masterpieces. Continue through early works by Leonardo da Vinci and key paintings by Michelangelo and other Renaissance masters, following the artistic developments that transformed European painting. Uffizi Terrace End the guided portion on the Uffizi's rooftop terrace, with views across Florence and Brunelleschi's famous dome. Take in the city from above, then remain inside the museum to continue exploring the galleries independently at your own pace.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a yellow WalksDevour sign. This tour meets in at the tail of the bronze equestrian statue of Cosimo I in Piazza della Signoria.

• Unfortunately due to the nature of this tour it is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments or with wheelchairs, or strollers.
• In the Uffizi Gallery only small backpacks and regular-size handbags are allowed inside, guests with larger bags will be invited to leave them in the storage before entry.
• It is absolutely forbidden to introduce any kind of liquid in the Uffizi Gallery (except baby bottles and medicinal product)
• The full names of all participants must be provided at the time of booking and must match the names on the ID/Passport. Name changes are not permitted. Failure to provide this information may result in the cancellation of your reservation.
