   Hautvillers

   This Abbey and its Church

   This Abbey and its Church are part of a UNESCO World Heritage site. The Benedictine friar named Dom Perignon lived here in the 1600s. Your guide will take you to the Abbey Church to hear his history. Then you'll visit the graveside of Dom Perignon and thank Dom for the bubbles!

   Reims Cathedral of Notre Dame

   More than 800 years old this cathedral is a Gothic gem! It is covered in gorgeous stone carvings on the inside and outside. Your guide will explain its fascinating history and then give you 20-30 minutes to explore on your own and take the souvenir photos that you are craving.

   Here you'll meet Stéphane an authentic, and charming, vintner (winemaker) of Champagne. He'll walk you through the entire process of making Champagne and let you get up close to the wine press and racks of champagne bottles in his cellars. Then you'll taste 3-4 different Champagne wines with him. You might go to an other small producer of Champagne on the day of your visit, we've got few partners and they are all very nice to visit and taste !

   Epernay is known as the capital of Champagne. Your guide will take you to the heart of the old town and point out several of its most notable aspects. Then you’ll have a full hour of free time to explore the town and eat lunch wherever you like. Your lunch is not included in our tour price.

• For the Champagne Day Trip you will meet with your driver-guide outside of  12 Avenue des Ternes in Paris, 15 minutes before your tour starts. A café called  "Café Dada Ternes" is located at that address. Your driver-guide will arrive with a grey minibus about 10min before the scheduled departure time of the tour.   Please be there at least 15 min before the official departure time! Tours always start sharp at the appointed starting time. For this tour it is absolutely necessary that you arrive before the tour starts as there is no way of catching up with the group once the tour has started. Cancellation policy and additional info    Tours run Rain or Shine! Full refunds are given if the reservation is cancelled more than 24hrs before the scheduled departure time of the tour.  No refunds are given for any reasons once 24hrs prior to the scheduled departure time of the tour.    Note that   the weather can change quickly (even in summer), we suggest everyone brings at least a light jacket.   The Champagne Day Trip will finish around 7PM (depending on traffic) at the same location where it started 12 Avenue des Ternes in Paris.
