The Edward VII Park of England (usually referred to only as Edward VII Park) is one of the most beautiful places in the city of Lisbon. The park covers an area of 25 hectares and extends beyond the famous Avenida da Liberdade. PARQUE EDUARDO VII Until 1902 it was called Freedom Park. In 1903, its name was changed to Edward VII Park of England. This change was due to the English politician's visit to Portugal the previous year, which aimed to reaffirm the alliance between Portugal and England.
