Next, explore Sant’Ambrogio market, a local market frequently visited by Florentines for their everyday food shopping. You will get to sample seasonal vegetables and cheese or prosciutto. Martina will introduce you to her favored vendors that will show you the best of their wares and provide advice on the right way to cook food. Continue on your food tour with Martina and enter an old trattoria, famous for their traditional Tuscan soups. Martina knows the owner personally so you can expect a very charismatic Florentine man to share funny stories along with your soup and a glass of Chianti. You will also try tagliere, a platter of Tuscan favorites. You will end your tour with gelato! You will make 5 stops and try 5-6 different types of food on this Florence food tour.    The food market in Sant’Ambrogio is open everyday from Monday to Saturday from early morning until 2pm. It is closed in the evenings and on Sundays.
