After a quick security check, you'll step inside the world's largest art museum to start your visit. Over the next two hours, you'll follow an expert guide on a curated route in a small group, taking advantage of the late-afternoon hours when the crowds begin to thin.

   1st Arrondissement

   Inside, your guide leads you straight to the icons: Leonardo's Mona Lisa, the Winged Victory of Samothrace at the top of a grand staircase, and the armless Venus de Milo in the Greek halls. You'll hear how the building grew from a medieval fortress into a royal palace and finally a public museum, with insider stories about the artists behind each masterpiece. The small group keeps the pace personal, with room to see every work and ask questions you'd never get to in a packed morning crowd. Your visit wraps up at Psyche Revived by Cupid's Kiss in the Michelangelo Gallery, when late-afternoon light has the museum at its most peaceful.

A representative will be there holding a sign with The Tour Guy on it. • Large bags, backpacks, luggage, umbrellas, and tripods cannot be brought into the Louvre. In general, any items exceeding 55 cm x 35 cm x 20 cm are not permitted in the museum. There is no coat check on site and the lockers are not accessible to us on the small group tour. We encourage you to leave such items and anything similar at your accommodation. • Photography without the use of flash in the permanent collection exhibition rooms, under certain conditions. Photography and filming is strictly prohibited in the temporary exhibition rooms. • It is the responsibility of all visitors to be at the meeting point 10 - 15 minutes before departure. Guests arriving after departure cannot be accommodated, & missed tours or tickets cannot be refunded. • Mandatory: Everyone is required to carry a copy of the identification page of their passports on all tours. A photo of the first page of your passport saved on your smartphone works as well. • The tours involve a fair amount of walking and sometimes stairs and uneven terrain; comfortable shoes are always recommended. • We regret that we are unable to accommodate guests with wheelchairs or any walking impairments that require special assistance on our group tours. We are also unable to accommodate strollers or baby carriages on our group tours. • We will be subject to a security check at the entrance to all sites. Depending on the volume of visitors, we may have a short wait in the security line. • TTG reserves the right to alter itineraries for reasons of safety, restoration, maintenance, adverse weather conditions or occasional events. • TTG runs tours rain or shine and no refunds will be issued due to inclement weather.
