   The Myth of how Rome came to be

   The Myth of how Rome came to be is intrinsically linked to this unique building. From the sacred Temple and fields of Mars, originally outside the city walls of Rome to the founder of Romulus. The later Augustan structure still stands today in a perfect state, two thousand years later, thanks to the Church that it has become - inside the world of Basilicas converge - pagan and Christian.
