Towering above you is Brunelleschi’s Dome; symbol of Renaissance Florence and famous for its daring design and even more challenging realization. The Piazza Duomo is filled with interesting things to see but we will ensure you don’t miss Giotto’s bell tower, an example of 1300 architecture and the splendid Porta del Paradiso of the Baptistery.

It is then on to the political centre of Florence, the Piazza della Signoria. Dominating one side of the square are the Uffizi, formerly the offices of the Grand Dukes of the city, and the former seat of the government of Florence. On the other side of the square is the Palazzo Vecchio.
