   Once you reach Liberty Island, your guide will introduce you to the famous lady herself and share some of the most fascinating facts about her—including why she almost wasn't built at all! You'll also have some free time to explore the Statue of Liberty Museum at your own pace. Here, you can discover artifacts from the statue's construction that tell the story of one man’s monumental dream that brought an entire city together.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of your tour, your guide will be holding a yellow WalksDevour sign. This tour meets in front of the glass elevator for the subway outside the National Museum of the American Indian, located at 1 Bowling Green, New York, NY 10004.

• - The meeting time is 15 minutes prior to the tour start time. No refunds or re-bookings can be provided for late arrivals or no-shows. - All guests are required to pass through airport-style security to board the ferry and again to disembark. No luggage, weapons, or food (except for water in a clear container) is allowed. - At Liberty Island handbags and backpacks must be stored in a locker. Lockers are $2.00. - Please allow plenty of time to arrive for your tour. Transportation in NYC whether by taxi, car, or subway is notoriously slow and can often be unreliable. - The guided portion of the tour ends on Liberty Island, though your ticket provides access to Ellis Island if you would like to visit it on your own. - Tips/gratuities (for your guide) are always appreciated. - Walks and Devour comply with all local government regulations.
