      Originally opened in 1865 as Moorgate Street, Moorgate station was part of the first extension of the Metropolitan line, setting the stage for the ‘Deep Tube’ system. Join us on this guided tour as we delve into the fascinating maze of unused tunnels and forgotten tracks that have emerged from nearly 160 years of renovations and upgrades.     The meeting point for this tour is outside the News Update newsagents at Moorgate station. This is at the bottom of the stairs of exit 3 of Moorgate Underground station. A member of the Hidden London team will meet you on arrival. Please arrive 15 minutes before the time on your ticket.
