Walking tour is free We will guide you on an exploration of London’s major landmarks. Over 20! This will give you a good idea of the history and culture of Europe’s best-loved city. Then you go to the Clink! The day starts at Green Park where we walk to Buckingham Palace, where we'll watch the world-famous Changing of the Guard ceremony (Mon/Wed/Fri/Sun). Then we head to Westminster. Sights we'll see along the way include Downing St, Westminster Abbey & the Houses of Parliament and many more In the London Bridge area we'll see Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Potter film locations, London Bridge, The Shard, HMS Belfast, Tower Bridge & the Tower of London After which we will direct you to the Clink Prison Museum & hand you your tickets! Learn about the notorious criminals who were once held here!

    Itinerary

    1. Changing of the Guard

      After a stroll through lovely Green Park, we reach Buckingham Palace - official home of the King! Your guide will tell stories of British Royal history as you admire this beautiful Palace. On certain days you can watch the world-famous Changing of the Guard ceremony, and your guide will find the perfect viewing spot! Afterwards, walk along the Royal Mall.

    2. Royal Observatory Greenwich

      Reaching this iconic public square, you’ll see Nelson’s Column, the stunning fountains, and famous buildings including The National Gallery.

    3. Continue to Horse Guards Parade, on the edge of stunning St. James Park. We’ll stop to admire its famous arch and iconic clock - a great photo opportunity!

      Continue to nearby Westminster Abbey - one of London’s most beautiful buildings with over 1000 years of history. This is where British Kings and Queens are crowned!

    7. After a short journey on the London Underground, we’ll arrive at the vibrant Southbank area where you’ll see the Tate Modern and Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre.

    8. St. Paul's Cathedral

      Next, we’ll walk onto Millennium Bridge (known by locals as Wobbly Bridge!) to get a wonderful view of St Paul’s Cathedral and its famous dome.

      Your guide will take you inside lively Borough Market - home to great local food and some secret Harry Potter filming locations! Afterwards, see the impressive Southwark Cathedral.

    11. Clink Prison Museum

      After the walking tour, visit a reconstruction of the UK's oldest Prison: The Clink! The Clink was the most notorious medieval prison in London & is today the oldest prison in the UK. Fun, scary and a peek into the less-glorious history of London. This part of the tour is unguided so you can explore at your own pace.
